i used to be unable to hit my legs for like a year but since i've been training my legs in the gym i'm able to hit them decently just a tip for you guys that worked for me, doing heavy 'backsquat' exercises at the gym makes your legs and especially your glutes (ass mucles lol) much and much stronger and solid. since the source of hitting your legs come from the glute muscles it will make ur leg hits better =) heres an example of the exercise if you dont go to the gym, try doing body squats (google them) before you dance =) hope it helped
